Catch a Nice Movie with Friends!
Are you a movie buff? Love watching movies with friends? If you're are a movie buff like me, make a plan to spend a lazy, yet exciting day watching some great movies at the comfort of your home. For me, nothing is more pleasurable than chatting with friends and watching some great movies with popcorns and coke! Ask your friends what movies they want to see; whether they love romance, thrillers, drama, action, or horror movies. I am a big fan of horror and thriller genre. There is another reason to watch movies with friends because it's Rent A Movie Day on September 6; a nice excuse to celebrate with friends. Invite your friends over and have a wonderful time catching up the latest blockbusters!

Janmashtami is a beautiful day to celebrate with friends. For those of you who are wondering what Janmashtami is all about, it is the day when Lord Krishna was born to save us from all evils. So Janmashtami is a very auspicious and sacred occasion in India and is celebrated throughout the country. Fairs, musical events, various folk shows and folk theaters are organized throughout the country to celebrate the birth of Krishna. Devotees make beautiful jhulans(cradles)for baby Krishna. Scenes from Krishna's birth are enacted by young boys and girls. Earthen pots(matkas) of butter and curd are broken by young guys. People believe that if one rocks the cradle, his/her wish will be granted on this special day. People visit their friend's or relatives houses and gift sweets and wish them good luck. People visit temples and offer their heartfelt prayers.

Celebrate Coffee Month With Friends!
When friends sit down for chatting together, steaming cups of coffee keeps them going and provides them with extra energy. Whether I go out for movies with friends, or chat at my place, coffee gives me company all the time. I'm an absolute coffee addict! I'm really happy that August is celebrated as coffee month. That way I can drink few more cups:) Jokes apart, I plan to taste some really nice coffee flavors at my favorite coffee shop and discover exotic aromas of coffee. Celebrate coffee month with friends/dear ones!

Happy Raksha Bandhan Wishes!
Raksha Bandhan is on Aug 28. Since I do not have a brother, I'll tie a nice rakhi on my sister's hand. Traditionally, rakhis are tied on a brother's hand as a symbol of love and protection; you can actually tie or gift a rakhi to anyone you love--cousins, friends, or even a close acquaintance. I have already decided how to celebrate this special day with my sister. After the initial ceremony of tying rakhi and eating sweets gets over, I plan to catch a nice movie with her and eat out at her favorite restaurant.

What I Plan to do for Friendship Week

Hello friends! As I said before, I'm taking a break from my busy schedule to relax for a while. Since Friendship Week(Aug19-25) is coinciding with my holiday, I have planned a lot of activities for me.

Day1--Calling up all my friends from college and university, right in the morning! Engaging in some refreshing conversation.
Day2--Going for a nice movie with Joy, Rimmy, Susan, Ronnie, and Rohit. They are my closest pals, so we plan to rock the day with fun!
Day3--Hitting the gym with double enthusiasm(no kidding!). Working out is the best stress buster for me, apart from movies!
Day4--Visiting Avril's place(she is my university friend) and learning a few cooking tips from her. Avril cooks great and I need to pick up few skills from her.
Day5--Shop till you drop! Yes, I need to go shopping with friends, since I haven't been to malls for a while. Then I plan to go to bowling den and test my skills in bowling:)
Day6--Time to chill out with friends in our favorite food joint, followed by a movie
Day7--Whole day outing at a cosy coffee bar, followed by dinner.

Now, this is a tentative plan, so things might get changed. But I plan to enjoy to the fullest on this Friendship Week! Any suggestions?

Catching Up With Friends
Lets get together! This is something we hear often. But the fact is, we get very little time to catch up with our friends and colleagues. In this fast paced life and hectic work schedules, we have little or no time to enjoy and socialize. We want to go out and meet up with friends, but we cannot manage enough time. Weekends are the only time we have, but then also we are burdened with lots of work. We try to finish them off in the weekends. So the end result is--no time for friends!
I have friends who complain about this problem and rebuke me over phone for not being able to go for a movie or a party. But most of the time, they understand and forgive me. We all know we are busy. But we do make a plan at least once a month, and go out for movies and stuff like that. This week I have taken a week off from work, so I'm planning to catch up with all my friends and colleagues; write them emails, send cards, and if possible, host a party at my place. Guys, please give me ideas on how to arrange a nice party and enjoy with friends. Meanwhile I'll start sending invitations to my friends!
